Play Madden 2002 on a holiday (holiday on your system calendar) and
Madden will comment about it.
Ex. On Thanksgiving he says, "Happy Turkey Day!"

After going to create a player go to edit player at the roster screen. Press up or Down to select the player you want. Press Right to get the speed category. Now press A then A again
Easy way to get the
best players in Franchise Mode
An easy way to get all of the NFL's best players on your team in
Franchise mode is to enter the franchise as all 31 teams. Then
you will be able to control the trades for every team, unlimiting your
access to the best players. Switch the players you have with the
players you want at the roster sub-menu and the trade player screen.
By using this strategy, I have never lost a game in Franchise Mode and
I won every game by over a 15 point margin.
